The Latest

Rocky is doing great in his foster home!  He would do well in a variety of homes. He is playful and likes to wrestle.  We think he would be a great playmate for another playful dog.  But he also does well home alone so he would be okay as an only dog as well. We crate him when we are gone and have left him completely alone at times and he settles right now and is fine. He does enjoy stuffed Kongs and bully sticks.
Rocky enjoys going for walks and potties very well on leash, but he is not much of a marker so he would be an excellent exercise partner for someone who wants to take long walks, but doesn't want the dog to stop and sniff every bush.

Rocky is easy to handle.  He is very good for nail trims and dremeling and does not mind his feet being wiped.
All in all, Rocky is a friendly, lovable lug. He is very affectionate and wants to be with his people, but he does not have separation anxiety.  He would probably do great at meet & greets or as a therapy dog.

Hiking

Recently, we have taken Rocky on a hike at Kennesaw Mountain and Red Top Mountain. He did great passing all of the people and other dogs.  He quietly passed other dogs that were barking and being reactive. He walks fairly nice on leash and very much enjoyed the outing.  In fact, Rocky loves going places! He would be a great dog for someone that likes to take their dog with them on hikes, to farmer's markets, meet & greets, games, etc. He travels great in a vehicle and is quick to lie down and relax.

Good Boy

Rocky is upper left

Rocky gets along great with our other greyhounds who have a variety of personalities. He is very respectful of those that demand it and goofy and playful with those that like to play.
Rock in the blue collar

Since Rocky is so young (2 years) and loves to wrestle and play, we think he might be a great playmate for another similar greyhound or even a dog of another breed. He might have a lot of fun with a rough and tumble playmate.

Around the House

Rocky is doing great!  We have had him for several weeks now and there has only been one accident.
Rocky is very friendly and loves people. He is very attentive and would probably be easy to train.
We were wrapping Christmas gifts and he got up under our table and lied down. Silly boy!
Rocky goes right into his crate and is quiet most of the time.
